ARCS 2008 - Architecture of Computing SystemsSponsorsConference Location
The conference was held from February 25, 2008 through February 28, 2008 at the Faculty of Computer Science of TU Dresden, Germany. ScopeCall for Papers (PDF) The ARCS series of conferences has over 30 years of tradition in reporting top notch results in computer architecture and operating systems research. This year's special focus was set on adaptivity and adaptive system architectures. We covered a wide spectrum reaching from pre-fabrication adaptation of architectural templates to dynamic run-time adaptation of deployed systems. Like the previous conferences in this series, it continued to be an important forum for computer architecture research.
The conference offered a high-quality scientific program featuring two keynotes from academia and industry and seven focus sessions covering all aspects of computer architecture:
An excellent workshop and tutorial selection was available as part of the conference. Conference attendees also had access to the social events. We offered a visit of the world famous "Green Vault", the treasury of the Saxonian kings, a guided tour through the historic city center and a dinner banquet in one of the scenic restaurants of the city.
